Distribution data on 47 species of ladybird recorded in the UK and Ireland between 1972 and 2019 and verified by the UK Ladybird Survey team. The non-native and invasive Harlequin Ladybird is shown in red. There were only a few recorded sightings along the East coast by 2005. In the following 15 years it has spread rapidly westwards and northwards and is now making an appearance on the island of Ireland and Scotland. Data published by the Biological Records Centre and provided by the National Biodiversity Network. For more information, see: https://doi.org/10.15468/trfsfu.
